playing in the...Radial Fuselage.
December 10, 2008 With 1000 hours behind me... and and empty fuselage...
It's time to make some noise !
I'm at the point in the build where I need to figure out where the rudder pedals need to go and to start welding on some mounting tabs. In order to do the "fitting up" I needed to actually sit in it. If I decided to sit in it while it was still in the rotissiere I would be flying inverted... with no seat belt... so I figured it was time to
unleash this beast from it's chains and set it free.
Like any respectable builder, the first line of business was to sit in it and make some airplane noises.
Sweeeeet !
The first thing I noticed, when sitting in it, was how large the cockpits are. The front pit is really big and the back pit is plenty big. Next thing I noticed was the amount of leg room I had. I'm about 6' tall and I had plenty of room to strech my legs out.
Here are a few pictures...
