A little bit more about the plans...
A few more things to be on the lookout for.
November 9, 2007 What's that smell....
oh yeah, a brain fart.
Brain Fart - the act of taking a stupid path, or an obviously wrong turn. For instance, using more than one move to solve a puzzle that acutally has a one-move solution is a brain fart. Usually followed by a GSB, Gonzo Seizure Brainlock, which is they dysphoric sensation of
getting lost and turned upside down while searching a path. I digress...
Posted a thread on the biplane forum this morning saying how great it was to have access to so many photos... the Users Gallery on the forum. Said that I had been using it to confirm a few head scratching questions
I had about how I was looking at the fuselage drawings for the R version. Questions I had when hammering away on the mock-up to figure out the amount of tubing I needed.
After a little bit of discussion, on the thread, turns out that it was REAL simple to figure out. Thus... my brain fart. I wasn't turning that proverbial unlocked door in a "locked" room.
If you can follow this... the angled tubing that I was trying to figure the length for.... on the drawings... get the measurement of that tubing in the flat (a). Say it's 30" and the
height of the fuselage (b) is 22"... you now have a right triangle so you can figure out what that long angled side is. Answer... 34.5". I'll be drawing it up on the DeltaCAD program
I have for quicker figuring. In any event, I'll get the amount of tubing figured for this beast and posted it here for anyone to enjoy.
As promised here is the layout of the re-drawn Skybolt Radial Fuselage. CAD Drawing. I converted my DeltaCAD drawing to a jpg so that most of the readers can view it. Reference this drawing when
looking at the above tubing list.
